It seems that in this particular industry DEATH is a good thing, (profit wise) - when you die, you make more money than when you're were alive, (I know, tough to swallow, but it's all true). B.I.G and Pac sold more record after their "untimely" demise than they did when they were alive and kicking it.
No much has changed, Aaliyah, who died more than a decade ago is set to release an album, her new track featuring Drizzy Drake (pause), Enough Said dropped yesterday on Metro. This new upcoming album is said to be produced by Noah "40" Shebib and more other known and unknown producers.
Why is this so though?, Is it intentional or is it based on a wish and a prayer?..I'm leaning on the intentional part. Obviously not for the artist, but the recording company. In the time an artist spent with a company, he/she will have music that were not accepted to be release for whatever reason, and those songs will be the property of the company.
No? How else would you explain the sudden wave of music after the artist has died?
The company makes money off the name and worse of all the memory of the artist.

That is the nature of the beast bruh. what can I say, recording companies are parasitic, by inking a deal with them you are unwittingly signing up to be exploitaed in life and(in the cases of 2pac, Biggie and Aaliyah)after death.
