kings of hip hop

The Hip hop game has changed dramatically over the years, from the giants Tupac, B.I.G, Dr. Dre, Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg and X zibit to mention a few, to Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Jay Z, 50 cent (G-unit), Nas, Black Eyed Peas, Nick Cannon and the newest, most shocking addition to the very long list, Serena Williams. It seems like hip hop has changed from the 'smart quick lines and hard punch lines' to something soft, pretty with glitter all over and seemingly pointless, (but hey, that's my opinion), it's only a few people that has been true to the game, and even they seem to dip on the softer side of hip hop at point or another, Jay Z for example. The man had fallen into a dark bottomless pit and if it wasn't for the 'heroics' of Kanye West, everyone would be saying " Jay Z who??..oh, the dude who used to spit dope rhymes back in the day".
It does bring up a good question though, if Tupac and B.I.G were still alive, would hip hop be in this dire situation?.
